Best Cross Platform Console Games - Tech Brawta

So, you are ready to buy a game console. My recommendation is a three-way tie between the Microsoft Xbox, Sony PlayStation and the Nintendo Switch.

There is no clear winner in part because each console is suitable for different reasons, including their suite of exclusive game titles. Console and game developers often create platform specific games to entice you to select one game console over another. Bummer.

But, there are a few great titles out there that simply will not be boxed in (no pun intended there) to a single console or platforms.

Console Game Titles for All Consoles

Arguably the most popular cross-platform video game on the market right now is …. wait for it …. Fortnite: Battle Royale. Hmm. In retrospect, no surprise there.

Rivalling Fortnite: Battle Royale for cross-platform superiority is Rocket League. This oddball title combines three things we love … football (soccer to those in North America), cars and rockets. Together, the game is nothing short of addictive.

Oldest of the group but still holding on to its “popular” title is Minecraft. With no specific goals, this sandbox game is decidedly different that Fortnite and Rocket League, yet no less intriguing. Sadly, this title hasn’t reached the Switch yet, but Nintendo Wii U users can join on the fun.

This is by no means an extensive list of agnostic game console titles, but certainly the top options.

Flagship titles like Halo on Xbox, God of War on the PS4 and the plethora of age-friendly titles on Nintendo including Super Mario Bros, Zelda, and Pokemon are ultimately likely to sway us from one console to another.

But, at least with agnostic titles, you and your friends can be limited only by your internet speed and not your console selection.
